Subcontract machining and in-house forming tools
Painopojat provides subcontract turning and machining services. We also manufacture a large proportion of the tools used in our own production.
In-house toolmaking brings practical forming experience into tool design and manufacture.
Manual and CNC machining
Our equipment includes manual and CNC lathes and a CNC machining centre. The manufacturing approach is selected according to the shape, dimensions and quantity of the part.
Machining removes material in a controlled way to produce the surfaces and features specified in the drawing.
Tooling is essential to successful forming
Forming tool design takes account of geometry, material, surface requirements and production volume. We manufacture tools for our own use up to approximately 500 mm in diameter.
Tooling requirements can differ between prototypes and ongoing series production. We consider the tooling solution as part of the complete manufacturing route.
