Cutting, punching and forming on one combination machine
Painopojat manufactures sheet metal parts and blanks for further forming with a Prima Power LPe6X Combi combination machine. Combining laser cutting and punching allows us to select a suitable process for each feature of the part.
When is laser cutting a good choice?
Laser cutting suits varied outlines and openings. The cut follows a programmed path, so each new outline does not require a dedicated cutting die.
This provides flexibility for new products, prototypes and changing part geometries.
What can the punching machine do?
Punching suits repeated holes and tool-defined features. Our servo-driven punching system provides control of the stroke during forming operations as well.
The combination machine can use both laser cutting and punching on the same part. For suitable products, this reduces the need for separate machine operations.
Equipment and further processing
The machine has a CO₂ laser and automatic loading and unloading. The maximum sheet size is 1,500 × 3,000 mm.
Cut parts can be supplied at the agreed stage of completion or processed further by bending, metal spinning or assembly, for example.
